I’ve drawn since childhood. I drew in classes, after school, and when I should’ve been sleeping.
Then, one day I’m an adult drawing in meetings. And somedays, while drawing in those meetings, I’d wonder if I was on the right career path (I was not.) I was there to make internet art but learned to code instead over time. While coding itself was fun, there wasn’t much room for the art. I had become alienated.
Around a year before lockdown, I got fed up and decided to try another path with tattooing. It nearly killed me: I was struck by a car (haha.) The recovery process made me even more intensely devoted – I stuck it out, and now here I am with a studio.
I have some unique quirks for a tattoo artist – I’m fairly versatile, but highly technical. Sometimes I draw from imagination, sometimes I use a series of equations in a 3d program, or trace a photo of a flower I took on a walk. Other times precise vector patterns measured to the millimeter, or I just paint the stencil on your skin with markers and brushes. I have favorite kinds of projects to work on, but I don’t specialize exclusively in any particular style. My experience, process, and personality give me an affinity for precise fine-line designs, but I just enjoy tattooing in general.
How My Pricing Works
My Pricing is Simple and Predictable
The more time you book, the more you save. Here are the options:
- 2 hour session: $350 ($175/hr)
- 4 hour session: $640 ($160/hr)
- Full Day (8 hours): $1200 ($150/hr)
Deposit Policy
A $50 deposit is required to secure your booking and will be applied towards your total cost. Deposits are non-refundable, but you can reschedule your appointment up to 24 hours before your session without losing the deposit. The remainder is due at your tattoo session, and there are no extra fees for credit card payments. After each session, you will be bandaged and provided with ointment for aftercare.
Which Session Should You Book?
Simple Estimation Method: Use your hand to estimate the time needed
- A palm-sized area typically takes about 2 hours.
- An area from the palm to the next knuckle might need 4 hours.
- A full arm or leg generally requires a full day.
- If it’s the size of two hands, it’s likely at least one full day.
Detailed Estimation Method: If you know the dimensions of the area, you can calculate an estimated time by using the formula √(width x height) ± 25%. However, for complex designs, I recommend scheduling a consultation to determine the best time block for your project.
Need More Time?
If your tattoo takes longer than expected and additional time is available, we can extend your session at the same hourly rate. This way, you get the most value and ensure your tattoo is completed to your satisfaction.
Share Your Session
You can split a larger block with a friend or family member to save on costs. Please note that the clock starts once the tattooing begins, so be considerate when sharing your time.
