What is Art That Lasts Forever Worth?

At Factor Studio, we price tattoos by the piece because the clock only measures time. It does not measure what your skin needs.

A small tattoo can be technically unforgiving. A larger piece can be straightforward when the composition is clear. What shapes the price is what the tattoo asks from the design, the placement, the skin, and the session.

You are paying for the planning before the appointment, the steady hand during the tattoo, and the experience to know what will look good and heal well — not just minutes under a needle.

You don’t want permanent work rushed at any price. We want to give you a tattoo that still feels worth it years from now.

How Pricing Works

Different tattoos ask for different levels of planning, precision, and session time. We work across four types of projects based on what the tattoo requires from the design, the placement, the skin, and the artist.

Tattoo Offerings

  • Moment: starting at $250
Focused work with one clear job: a small symbol, fine-line piece, short lettering, or simple design that needs to land cleanly. Small does not mean careless. It means every line has less room to hide.
  • Season: usually $350–$600
A composed piece with more detail, movement, or decision-making. This is where placement, references, line weight, and balance start doing more of the work.
  • Era: usually $600+
Larger or more technically demanding work. This may involve heavier saturation, complex placement, multiple design elements, coverup strategy, or a piece that changes how a whole area of the body reads.
  • Legacy
Multi-session work built as one continuous project. Sleeves, large panels, connected compositions, or anything that needs long-range planning instead of one-session thinking.

Booking Logic

When you request a tattoo, we review the idea, placement, references, and scope before giving you a price range.

You’ll know what the piece is likely to cost, what kind of session it requires, and what needs to happen next before you commit to the appointment.

⚠️ For Returning Clients

If you’ve worked with us before, you may notice that pricing is more structured than it used to be. That’s intentional.

As our process has matured, we’ve refined how we scope work so the price reflects the whole piece, not just how long it happens to take on a given day.

The care, precision, and experience you’re used to haven’t changed. What’s changed is the clarity.

What’s Included — No Extra Charge

Every session at Factor Studio includes professional aftercare and support, because the work doesn’t stop when the needle lifts:

  • Medical-grade second-skin bandage for initial healing
  • Healing ointment and foaming soap selected for tattoo recovery
  • One complimentary touch-up within 30 days, if needed

This is not an add-on or a last-minute upsell. You’re here for great work. We make sure everything else matches.
